People think that by selling their own home, they can save some money, and I’ve seen people do this, but it is very challenging, and it is very uncommon. We’ve recently sold 3 or 4 FSBO properties that had sat with little to no activity for months.
If you want to sell for the best price and the best terms in the least possible amount of time, you should probably consult a real estate professional. Contracts with FSBO homes rarely make it to closing, and 95% of our contracts make it to the closing table.
If you’re just looking to sell your home, then I see no problem in trying to sell it on your own. However, if you want to sell for top dollar with the best terms, then I suggest that you use a Realtor to sell your home.
