It’s safe to say that this year has been quite different from what any of us were expecting. From social distancing and the cancellation of… well, pretty much everything, to the sudden surge in popularity of peripheral oddities like toilet paper and The Tiger King, this year has been full of surprises.
Annual mainstays like birthdays and holidays, things that we DO expect and look forward to every year, have been different too. But even while we recognize the changes, we hold on to that which is steady. This Sunday is Easter, and while we’re grateful that the object of our joy is unchanging, we know that our celebrations this year are going to look a little different than usual.
If your neighborhood Easter egg hunt has been canceled this year, we would like to offer a fun alternative for kids of all ages to participate in while maintaining social distancing. Just follow these easy steps!
Step 1:
Download and print one, two, or twenty (it’s up to you!) of the Easter egg coloring pages below.
Step 2:
Color and decorate those eggs! Get creative with it!
Step 3:
Choose a place to display your artwork, like a window or doorway, that faces out toward your street.
Step 4:
Call, text, or email a neighbor and invite them to participate! Just copy and paste this link when you reach out https://bit.ly/39V8wrU
Step 5:
Go on an egg hunt through your neighborhood to see all the homes that have their Easter egg artwork displayed! Enjoy being outside and the opportunity to greet your friends and neighbors (while maintaining a healthy 6 foot distance, of course).
Step 6:
Take pictures of all the EGG-citing fun you have! Post your pics on social media with the hashtag #THGeasterEGGcitement!
