Taylors  is one of the largest suburbs of the area and is located about 145 miles north of Atlanta Georgia and 92 miles south of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Greenville County is proud to have 13 schools that have earned the honor of being named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.The county is also the location of one of the upper 15 charter schools in the United States as well as a Catholic high school that is ranked in the top 50 of the nation.

Taylors is served by 5 elementary schools that include Brook Glenn, Mountain View and Paris schools. Taylors and Tigerville Schools also provide an education for younger students.    Middle school students may attend Northwood Middle school and complete their secondary education at Eastside High School.

Families who prefer a faith-based learning environment may select to send their children to Pleasant Grove Christian Academy or the Prince of Peace Catholic School.  While there are no such schools directly in Taylors, a private school education may be obtained in Greenville at the Camperdown Academy, Montessori School or the Haynsworth School.

In addition to the 3 campuses of Clemson University in Greenville County, the area is home to 13 other colleges and universities that include Southern Wesleyan University, Virginia College and Webster University.

Residents of Taylors and the surrounding communities have two outstanding healthcare system in the area.  Bon Secours St. Francis is well-known for their cardiac and orthopedic care programs and the Greenville Health System is the largest employer in Greenville County.
