We’re still seeing crazy-low supply numbers, which is great news for sellers. We are in the midst of our third straight month with a 20%+ supply decrease. As of December 10, we had just 3,628 homes on the market after having 4,683 at the same point in 2019.
The median sale price is up a whopping 7.1%.
At the same time, demand is up. There were 14,231 home sales in Greenville from January 1 to November 30, 2020. That’s up 9.2% from the 13,026 we saw during the same period in 2019. We’re going to break 15,000 homes sold on the Greenville MLS this year, which has never been done before.
Finally, the median price is up by a whopping 7.1% from last year. It has gone from $219,500 to $235,000. Homes are selling all over, and with limited supply, buyers are paying more. This can lead to appraisal issues if you don’t have the right agent on your side looking out for your best interests.
If you do have any questions about the market or about buying or selling a home in 2021, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
